As students enter Unit 2B of the Math 7 curriculum, they begin their explorations with concepts associated with Order of Operations. Although this concept is first presented in the Math 6 curriculum, students benefit by review the subject matter so that they are better prepared for the rigors of Unit 2. The video linked to this posting is general in nature, but reviews the key concepts associated with Order of Operations.
Students in Math 7 have been exploring concepts associated with Unit 2A. Specifically, they have explored problem solving, exponents, scientific notation, and magnitude of numbers. Although most students have been able to grasp these challenging concepts, a few requested that they have the opportunity to review the material. So, as a result, I am linking several videos to this posting that reviews exponents and scientific notation. Please view the movies as many times as necessary in order to assist in your mastery of the skills.

AuthorMy name is Mr. Bliven and I have been teaching at Matsunaga for 13 years. I love teaching and view education as a lifelong journey. Although I already hold several graduate degrees from McDaniel College and Johns Hopkins, I was thrilled to have recently completed my graduate certificate in technology integration from the University of Florida. I plan to continue my graduate studies and I am looking forward to using the strategies I learn with my students. Archives
